This is a great review of a terrific book. It also looks like a pretty good blogspot. Both are worth checking out - since both delve into the creepy stuff.
Hope I'm not sounding like a cheerleader - it was the corpse in the Mustang that got me hooked on this wild tale - that & the fact Laflamme can actually write. Maybe I can also relate a bit because I had a Mustang when I was a kid. No corpse. I knew something was missing when I bought that car. It could have been so much cooler ...
Strange Maine: Review: Dirt by Mark LaFlamme

You used to have a Mustang? Am I the only loser who never had one? I put out a nudge through the newspaper asking for help from anyone who has a 'stang. I got 30 calls that very day and people are still coming forward. All the world loves a Mustang, I guess.
I traded a '63 Studebaker & $450 cash for a '66 Mustang convertible with 30somethousand original miles when I was 16. What a wheeler dealer I was! I knew it would be a classic so, after moving to another "must have" vehicle I stored it in my Dad's garage with a cover over it. 9 years later - he sold it for $1100 (I was living in Kansas City at the time) 'cause he needed the money & the space. I was sick - he could have gotten at least $8K for it way back then. Who knows what it would be worth now - it was in perfect condition -spoke wheels with spinners & the mustangs tooled into the seats. 42,000 original miles when I 'put it to bed'. That Strange Maine blog is pretty cool - that was a great review. I'm embarrassed now with my paltry effort.
Was the corpse in the option package?
The corpse in the trunk WAS an option - It was named Jack.
